About Prudence De Marchi

Prudence’s Story

Prudence De Marchi is a Newcastle-based abstract artist who has been painting professionally since completing her Fine Arts degree in 2007. Her work is guided by intuition, with each painting evolving naturally through colour, movement, and expressive mark-making rather than following a fixed plan.

She is passionate about creating artwork that brings a sense of joy, lightness, and emotional connection into everyday spaces. When she’s not in the studio, Prudence enjoys spending time with her family and finding inspiration in nature, travel, and the small moments of everyday life.

Prudence has exhibited in several joint and solo exhibitions across Australia. Her original paintings and prints have both been collected internationally and has featured on The Block in 2020 and 2021. She has recently collaborated with Maxwell & Williams, Greenhouse Interiors, Earp Distilling Co, New Zealand Skin Co and GYRE- with her textile designs been featured in 2022 Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.

Her works are currently available through private commission, website,  Jumbled Online, Greenhouse Interiors and other stockist throughout Australia.
